There is a special look on the face of a person who has walked into Big Rock Pub for the first time – a look of awe and surprise. It is one of the best parts of The Big Rock Pub. We assure you that what you are witnessing is a true labor of love. Every single instrument, piece of art and memorabilia was individually purchased and hung by Indian Springs resident and pub/golf club owner, Ken Hanna. Yes, he really does love the music and its history… A LOT!
With a music inspired menu and music to inspire our patrons, it's assure you that your time at the Big Rock will be memorable. In addition to enjoying a meal in what feels like a rock and roll museum, you may enjoy your meal or casual drinks on the outside patio or deck with pool tables, a fire pit, comfortable seating and fantastic sunset views over the golf course. After the sun has set, the pub lights up. Throughout the week there is various live music offering rock and roll, country, oldies, cover bands, open mic's and more!
But there’s more to it than that. Not too long ago, The Big Rock Pub's founder Ken Hanna lost his brother to cancer, so many of the autographed guitars you see are for sale, with all of the profits going to Desert Cancer Foundation. Desert Cancer Foundation is the only nonprofit organization in the Coachella Valley that provides financial assistance to qualified patients in the midst of cancer screenings and treatments. Every dollar donated translates into $10 of cancer treatment. In our first months of opening, we raised over $40,000 for DCF. We've also helped raise thousands of dollars for other local charities, It's good to know that we are making a difference.
